I can see the latter being better on the repeating one, if each orb has it's own chance to crit. Other than that, being at low HP with the Red-Tearstone Ring or the occasional crit from Engraved Gauntlets are the only other things i can think of. Normal crossbow's special on Sanctum Soldiers (with mace) deal 507 damage, while repeating deals 704 with all pellets hit. I am wielding a couple of normal crossbows and repeating. But I was wondering, if I could boost the damage of this special even further? It's like something new I have never tried before. I have so much fun with (Repeating) Sanctum Crossbows because of their special attack. While I am trying to get through and burn all bonfires to intensity 10 (just for fun), I am experimenting with my bows/crossbows.
